Originating from the rich musical heritage of Germany and later thriving in the vibrant cultural landscape of Hawaii, J.A.M. is the brainchild of Joerg Alfter, an internationally acclaimed composer, music producer and instrumentalist.

With a career spanning decades, Joerg's journey in music began as a young classical trumpet player in the late 1970s, later evolving into a skilled pianist and composer. His passion for crafting unforgettable melodies, arrangements and orchestrations led him to become a sought after musician, songwriter, and prominent figure in the international music scene, earning him numerous awards along the way.

From the late 1980s, Joerg's expertise expanded into the realm of music production, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the sound of many international releases of different genres. His contributions have garnered him double platinum and multi-platinum certifications across multiple genres, cementing his reputation as a respected figure in the industry as a songwriter and producer.

His work with popular and well known artists throughout the State of Hawaii has earned him 2 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award nominations as a producer and co-writer at the Hawai'i Academy of Recording Arts (HARA) for Contemporary Album Of The Year.

Amidst his diverse musical endeavors, Joerg has always remained true to his roots, continuously exploring and innovating within the realms of instrumental composition.
His recent focus on instrumental and orchestral compositions showcases a return to his artistic essence, trying to reach new audiences with his emotive and captivating soundscapes.
